We could say it’s an XC or marathon bike, but it would be boring to put such narrow labels on a bikes this exciting!
This particular bike listed here is our prototype. The bike that helped us get to the finished product.
We started out with a more conservative geometry in our initial design of the MXC. We wanted to try a rigid ENVE carbon mountain fork with a 52 rake and 492 axle to crown.
Additional geo specifics to note:
· The head angle of this bike is 70.5 degrees
· Seat angle 73 degrees
· Seat tube si 19.5”
· Effective Top Tube is 23.5”
· Chainstay length is 17.5 “
· Headtube is 110mm
· Stack is 24.61”
· Reach is 16.15”
The 1x-specific frame has space for a whopping 38T ring, clearance for 2.4” tires, and space for up to 3 water bottle mounts. The lightweight, large diameter, double-butted front triangle joins a T47 bottom bracket and boost 148mm dropouts to manifest in ultimate axle-to-axle tracking.
The MXC is perfect for XC trails, single-track, and backroad gravel. A modern classic, truly high-performance bike, and genuinely fun. And this is a super unique opportunity to ride a prototype bike that truly is a One-off!
